· CHIM-FLEX stainless steel chimney liners are test and listed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Others test their liners to the standard or just parts of the standard via other testing agencies. We believe in doing things right. UL developed the standard for testing chimney liners and they are the test lab we chose to evaluate our liners and inspect our plant. · All Prime 316L Materials. CHIM-FLEX stainless steel chimney liners and components are manufactured from only prime 316L stainless steel. This material is ideal for the construction of an all fuel venting system. Some have made claims of the superiority of one type of 316 stainless vs. another. The simple truth is both 316L and 316TI are excellent products. We have chosen 316L as our material of choice since it has a greater corrosion threshold at low temperatures while still giving excellent high temperature stability. Low temperature corrosion is the most common threat to any chimney liner and what we have chosen to focus on. · 4 layer overlap seam. There are a number of way to lock a strip wound tube (which is what flexible chimney liner is). The machine we’ve chosen to manufacture our CHIM-FLEX chimney liner creates a 4 layer overlap seam. This type of seam puts more material where it counts, in the seam. This gives the liner more strength to withstand the rigors of shipping, installation, and thermal expansion and contraction which occurs from use. · .0055 wall thickness for the perfect balance of flexibility and strength. The chimney liners manufactured by RLH Industries, Inc. are the only chimney liners in the industry to be manufactured from this material thickness. Our CHIM-FLEX chimney liners are both flexible and strong. · Fittings are all CNC cut and formed for perfect fit and finish. This is a big deal. Our commitment to high quality components has meant a major commitment to equipment and technology to ensure every part is identical to the one that was built before it. Simply put, this means CHIM-FLEX fittings fit right and fit every time. Our manufacturing tolerances are to .003 of on inch. This tolerance level is the same precision level used in the aerospace industry. · High Value. CHIM-FLEX chimney liners are not the cheapest chimney liners available. CHIM-FLEX chimney liners are a first tier product at a competitive price. Others have come into the industry with lesser products and prices which reflect the quality of their products. But those products while priced low are still second tier products. |
